Sample illustrations of some of the pages of the 9 children's books that I have illustrated. Only 3 of these books have been published so far, but the next 6 are coming up in the next few months. 

I use multiple media types, combining original art with some altered photos for some of the elements, then I put them all together for the final impact that illustrates the story or poem. I love using lots of color and I usually make my backgrounds as part of the story as needed, so they are a bit more sophisticated in some ways. Simple backgrounds are also possible. I love doing this kind of art and have, with these 9 books, accomplished about 150 illustrations! I work by completed illustration and not by the hour. I find that working with the author on what they want is crucial, but then I will create the art using my own creativity. I usually give two corrections as part of the assignment.
