Living in Texas, Colorado, California, British Columbia, Canada, and now in Washington state has given me lots of opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the western states. I have always loved art and my expression was through photography. I eventually got tired of the same old photos that anyone could take, so I started making some of my photography "bigger than life" by using Photoshop and its artier tools. I also use many additional software programs that made my visions more real and I use these unabashedly in making my art.
I have the body of work that you see here in my art store that represents a very small slice of my photographs and art. You can get these in many sizes and enjoy them on your walls. But additionally I do photographic composite art for people using either their own photographs that they send me, or ones I can take of them, should the opportunity arise. It is a collaborative effort, combining your ideas with mine, and some great things can be created from this meeting of minds. Check out this page.
And lastly I do some local photography for headshots, real estate, and some businesses and products. See pricing on Photography and Photo Art page here
I'd love to talk about what I can do to help you realize some photographic or artistic dream you have wanted to bring to life.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
I love being excited about something I see and always rush over to show it to others, 'Oh look at that! Isn't it amazing?' That carried itself even further as I was able to take a photo of said scene and then show it to all my friends and family and hope they get the same appreciation for the aesthetics, beauty and wonder that I did at the moment of capturing the image. It has been a lifetime goal to have others see the beauty that I can show them through my viewpoint, through my eyes.
Photoshop has always had a bit of a stigma to its use and I have fought, in the past, for the right to use it as a photographer. I never misrepresent something that needs truth in it, but I alter photos and art liberally to suit my creative endeavors. When I moved from a film camera in the early 2000's to a digital camera I was in heaven! I got one as soon as I could lay my hands on one and then happily took 'millions' of pictures that could be deleted if they weren't good enough. I use a Canon 5D Mark II, a Sony a6000 and a Iphone 11. I use whatever suits the moment.
I had my own photo studio in my 20's and my specialty was musicians, actors and models in Vancouver, BC. I had a great connection to a talent agency and a monthly magazine that gave me the opportunity to follow this dream. We had film cameras and darkrooms and 'processed' our own film and images. That played itself out when I decided to move to California and got off into other interests. But I continued my photography and learning Photoshop and now have a photo data base in the 'cloud' of over 100,000 photographs. Let's just say that every moment in my life has been documented!
